Persian chicken kabob in the air fryer is an excellent new method that allows our kebabs to be prepared in less than 15 minutes.
Preparation time: 45 min
Cooking time: 15 min
for: 2 serving
Ingredient:
Chicken breast or chicken fillet | One medium |
Onion | 2 pcs |
Brewed saffron | 4 tbsp |
Tomato | 1 pcs |
Lemon juice | 3.5 ounces |
Salt and black pepper | 2 tsp |
Chicken extract | One cube |
Liquid oil | 4 tbsp |
Instruction
1. To prepare Iranian chicken kebab, I first cut the onions into slices and put them in a suitable dish.
2. Then, I add fresh lemon juice to the onions.
3. At this stage, I add the saffron that I have already mixed with ice, and now it has reached the right color for the onions.
4. Then, I add a packet of chicken extract to the mixture of onion and saffron.
5. At this stage, I add salt and black pepper to the mixture and mix completely.
6. At this stage, I add the chicken breast, which I have already cut into small pieces, to the mixture of onions and spices.
Then, I mix all the ingredients thoroughly with the chicken. Pay attention that at this stage, all the ingredients must be combined perfectly with the chickens.
7. After all the ingredients are mixed, put a cellophane in the container and keep it in the refrigerator for 2 hours. In the meantime, go to the tomato, cut it in half, and skewer it.
8. After almost 2 hours, I take the chickens out of the fridge and start skewering them regularly.
9. Then, we put non-combustible oil paper on the bottom of the air fryer and put the skewers together in an orderly manner.
10. I put the chickens in the air fryer and grill them at a temperature of 180-190 degrees and a cooking time of 15-20 minutes.
Depending on the size of the chickens, they will be cooked sooner. The smaller the pieces, the sooner they will be grilled.

What is served with Persian Chicken kabob?
- They usually eat grilled chicken with Iranian rice.
- You can also eat this kebab with lavash bread.
- Next to this Iranian kebab, you can use mast o musir, and zeytoon parvardeh as a side dish.
- You can use authentic Iranian doogh for a drink at the end of the work.
Notes:
- The time you put the chickens in the ingredients is very important and should not be less than 45 minutes.
- Be sure to use high-quality ingredients such as fresh Iranian saffron or fresh chicken.
- To spice up the kebab, you can use red pepper in the kebab liquid.
- Do not add too much lemon juice because it will make the kebab bitter.
- Adjust the temperature of the air fryer and check the kebabs every 5 minutes.
- I made this dish in a Philips Air Fryer at this temperature. If your device is different, the temperatures may change slightly.
- For easier cooking, place chicken on wooden skewers and in small sizes in the air fryer; using a wooden skewer makes chickens cook faster and better.
- For better cleaning and better cooking, never put ingredients in the air fryer without a skewer or a container.
