Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 3 hours
for:4 serving
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. It is very time-consuming and difficult to remove and clean tripe, and I bought a complete and cleaned pack of beef tripe from the store.
First, I fill a pot with water and divide the washed and cleaned syrabis into smaller pieces with scissors and put them in the pot let it come to the boiling point, and boil for 10 minutes.
2. After 10 minutes of boiling water, put them in the water and wash them under warm water.
Note: If you want to add chickpeas, you should soak them the night before and change the water several times to remove the flatulence. Then it should be cooked first with the rest of the ingredients.
3. Then pour them into a clean pot and pour this into the pot with water and let it boil.
4. Then we peel the onion and garlic. I divide the onion in the middle into four pieces and pour it into the pot along with the garlic.
Then we pour turmeric, salt, and black pepper into the pot.
Let it reach the boiling point and then add two tablespoons of oil to the pot.
5. We let all the ingredients cook together in the pot for three hours. After this time, when this food is fully cooked, we can add salt as desired.
Sirabi is ready, put it in a container with Syrabi water and eat it with Sangak bread, lemon juice, or fresh lemon and enjoy.
